On January 26th, 2009, VMAC sent a letter and the VMAC 2008 publication to the entire Vermont legislature (House and Senate) to inform our leadership of the changes and risks to Vermont in enacting same-sex marriage. 

Approximately two weeks later, fifty-nine members of the Vermont House drafted a same-sex marriage bill (H-178) and companion parentage bill (H-181), which are now before the Vermont House , with H-178 being vetted through both House and Senate Judiciary committees the week of March 16th .
